About the role

  • Manage potential sale of products and/or services to customers or partners to generate revenue against a forecasted quota
  • Accountable for sales strategy, sales processes and achieving sales revenue targets across sales channels
  • Identify, evaluate and negotiate new sales and marketing growth opportunities (business development strategy & planning)
  • Set objectives and deliver on individual responsibilities; influence tactical decisions within area of expertise
  • Collaborate with internal teams and may supervise or oversee work of lower level professionals

Requirements

  • Previous work experience in a related area or practical knowledge obtained via advanced education
  • Experience in sales and business development
  • Knowledge of sales strategy, sales processes, and forecasting
  • Ability to work independently within defined boundaries and seek supervision for complex tasks
  • Experience coaching/mentoring less experienced staff or informal supervisory responsibilities
  • Practical knowledge of applying methods, techniques, work procedures and processes
