Responsibilities
- Contact with suppliers in China
- Obtaining international product quotations
- Monitoring imports from purchase order placement through arrival at the factory
- Preparing shipping marks for cartons according to requirements
- Liaison with Finance for foreign exchange settlement
- Verifying import documents (invoice, packing list, HBL) with the customs broker
- Sourcing international freight and verifying freight invoices
- Tariff classification of items to be imported; prepare item descriptions for the import declaration (DI)
- Entering import invoices and issuing shipment invoices to customers
- Calculating estimated landed costs and final cash/financial settlement
Requirements
- Knowledge of taxes/taxation is a plus
- Degree in or currently studying International Trade or related fields
- Intermediate/advanced English for written communication
