Head of Marketing and Growth driving customer acquisition and retention for a tax refund app. Collaborating cross-functionally to build scalable marketing and growth infrastructure in the UK.
Responsibilities
Develop the UK marketing strategy, plans, and budget, aligned with commercial goals
Own PMM execution and localisation (ICPs, messaging, positioning, competitive) in collaboration with central PMM
Drive UK marketing steering, making data-informed decisions on budget allocation, channel mix, and campaign optimisation to deliver against growth objectives
Lead UK campaign planning and execution, including creative brief development and cross-channel campaigns
Own and scale local partner, affiliate and community channels to drive UK customer acquisition
Work with local Product and central Marketing to design and execute a pipeline of high-velocity growth experiments
Optimise the onboarding journey and conversion funnel (CRO) working with Product & Ops
Partner with Product on PLG initiatives to drive organic and in-product growth
Lead pricing, promotions & monetisation strategy tailored to UK customer needs
Establish a data-driven lifecycle and CRM programme to reduce churn and improve Year 1 retention
Collaborate closely with central Taxfix marketing, CRM, analytics, and brand & product marketing functions to shape and localise GTM execution
Serve as the local lead for Marketing & Growth, representing UK needs in cross-functional planning
Manage and mentor a UK Growth Marketing Executive
Track, measure, and report marketing and growth performance, owning KPIs and iterating based on data
Requirements
Familiarity with generative AI tools
6+ years in growth marketing, performance marketing, or GTM leadership roles, ideally in B2C, fintech, SaaS, or tech-enabled services
Proven experience leading customer acquisition strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels
Track record of driving experimentation-led growth and channel diversification
Strong command of CRM, lifecycle marketing, and funnel optimisation
Proven ability to integrate AI tools into marketing workflows
Strong cross-functional communicator — able to influence across product, ops, and central teams
Highly data-driven, execution-focused, and capable of operating in a turnaround environment
Experience working in matrixed or global organisations is a plus
