About the role
- Act as Technical Lead contributing to various technical streams of Guidewire implementation projects
- Interface and communicate with onsite coordinators and client stakeholders
- Plan and monitor project deliverables from the team
- Mentor and guide project team members in executing identified projects
- Participate in Business Insurance Transformation implementation projects
- Collaborate with agile team members to achieve project and client goals
- Implement new solutions using advanced technology stack and cloud platforms
- Travel to customer locations as needed
- Participate in organization-wide people initiatives
Requirements
- Industry experience of around 9 years and above
- Experience in Java/Guidewire development
- Understanding of JVM technologies and ecosystem (Java 8, J2EE, XML, SOAP, REST, SQL, PL/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Application Server, Enterprise Messaging System)
- Awareness of good coding practices (Clean Code, Design Patterns)
- Excellent business communication, client-facing, leadership and/or project management skills
- Experience in J2EE, XML, Web Services, SQL, ANT
- Experience in agile / scrum methodology
- Willingness to travel to customer locations on need basis
- Excellent English verbal and written communication; German or other European language advantageous
- Hands-on experience with Angular 5 (ideally)
- Working experience with Kotlin (ideally)
- German / French would be a strong asset
