About the role
- Assist in designing, developing and implementing Google Cloud-based solutions
- Enhance BigQuery-based Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions
- Learn Software- and Data-engineering technologies
- Collaborate with engineers, business analysts and data scientists to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Participate in code reviews, debugging and testing to ensure quality and reliability
- Contribute to a large data-cloud community and produce technical documentation and presentations
Requirements
- Enrolled student with on-going program at a Slovak University
- Well-grounded Java software development skills
- Good knowledge of design patterns
- Good understanding of computer networking concepts
- Good level of SQL knowledge
- Ability to work with Linux from shell and shell scripting skills
- Proficiency with git for version-control
- Desirable: Experience with Relational Databases
- Desirable: Knowledge of Python
- Desirable: Knowledge of Java testing tools (JUnit, TestNG, EasyMock, Powermock)
- Desirable: Understanding of cloud concepts and technologies, knowledge of GCP
- Desirable: Experience with Terraform or Kafka
- Desirable: Experience with distributed processing frameworks like Spark or Apache Beam
