About the role

• Senior Cloud Platform Engineer at Smarsh, focusing on architecting and building hybrid cloud platforms. Contribute to risk management and compliance in digital communications.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain next-generation hybrid cloud platform
• Combine deep technical expertise in Information Security, Identity and Access Management, cloud architecture, data center infrastructure, networks, and DevOps practices while ensuring platform reliability, security, and operational excellence
• Lead security incidents
• Develop standard operating procedures and protocols
• Monitor and implement security events and alerts of computer systems, infrastructure, and applications
• Optimize platform performance and resource utilization across environments
• Participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in platform/cloud engineering
• Expert-level experience with AWS enterprise deployments
• Deep knowledge of AWS services and best practices, including Control Tower and IAM
• Deployment and Delivery expertise, including Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm
• Strong background in infrastructure automation
• Expert knowledge of network architecture and security
• Knowledge of on-premises and hybrid cloud network design and architecture
• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of three years experience in a Platforms Engineer or Site Reliability Engineering role utilizing the AWS platform
• AWS certifications preferred
• Strong system design skills.
