Global Product Manager at BD responsible for managing Infectious Disease assays within the MDx platform. Collaborating with teams to drive product strategies and lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of multigeneration product portfolio strategy through coordination with cross-functional teams
Drive the new product development and introduction process, ensuring successful launch and commercialization
Work cross-functionally to manage the overall life cycle of assigned product lines
Evaluate and craft financially sound business proposals for new products and partnerships
Collect and monitor voice of customer, competitive insights, market, and technology trends
Establish pricing positioning and monitor product pricing vs. the competition
Partner with R&D, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to adjust the product line
Conduct business analyses for assigned products/product lines to support business planning
Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to develop and execute marketing plans
Ensure appropriate technical support for sales and field applications teams
Effectively communicate product forecasts and actively represent in Demand, Supply, and Operational Planning
Requirements
Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of relevant product management experience within diagnostic or life sciences industries
Solid product management foundation in managing instrumentation portfolios through their entire lifecycle
Experience with molecular instrumentation is strongly preferred
Proven success in leading global new product development projects through the stage gate process
Knowledge of molecular diagnostic laboratory instrumentation and workflow
Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct and interpret financial analysis related to the product portfolio
Record of leading and managing cross-functional teams and navigating within a matrix organization
Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
Willing to travel up to 25%
