About the role

  • Part-time (25 hours/week) Event Manager taking ownership of planning, execution, and success measurement of events.
  • Manage events from trade fairs and sponsorships to executive-level (C-level) meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with event process and develop new event concepts and formats.
  • Act as project lead for diverse event types and manage external agencies and service providers.
  • Drive event success by achieving defined KPIs such as generating new contacts and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing (content, digital, operations, press), sales teams, and subject matter experts.
  • Integrate events with other marketing disciplines ensuring relevant content and digital support.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders via internal and external channels.
  • Conduct event reporting, gather participant feedback, and analyze outcomes to optimize event impact.
  • Role begins with a trial period aiming to transition into long-term collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in marketing and communications with a focus on event management.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to stay calm and maintain oversight under pressure.
  • Affinity for and understanding of technology and IT services (experience in IT environments is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Very good MS Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Independent, solution-oriented, and structured working style.
  • Flexible, open-minded, and eager to embrace new topics and change.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a strong drive to contribute fresh ideas and impulses.
  • Strong team spirit, reliability, and high commitment.
  • Willingness and readiness to travel, including occasional domestic or international travel on short notice.
  • Completed studies in media and communication management, business administration, or economics (optional).
