About the role

• Forecast Analyst working closely with Merchandise Planning team at Kmart to optimize inventory and support accurate reporting. Transforming demand forecasting processes for better product availability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with our Merchandise Planning team to optimise inventory levels and achieve financial KPI’s of sales, margin and stockturn.
• Support the business through improved forecasts and accurate reporting where you present key insights to stakeholders and influence decision-making.
• Own the merchandise relationship, drive enhancements in forecast accuracy and ensure continuous improvement throughout the planning function.
• Ensure clear action plans and mitigation strategies are generated through utilization of demand planning reports.
• Build key inputs and strategies for the Demand TIR (Total Inventory Review) which supports execution of the Merchandise Product Strategy.
• Build and nurture relationships with all key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualification in Data Analysis, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, Inventory, Supply Chain and logistics or related experience.
• Demonstrated skills in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong Excel and Power Bi skills.
• Experience within retail, wholesale or manufacturing.
• Effective and concise communication skills.
• Ability to present analysis and insights to stakeholders/clients.
• Excellent communication skills and empathy in dealing with technical and non-technical customers.
