About the role

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely management of all financial and accounting operations for University Marketing & Communications
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end close processes
  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal control policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations
  • Support the Senior Director, Operations & Administration with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to drive effective organizational decision-making
  • Sets and maintains departmental operating budget and manages accounting services within University Marketing & Communications
  • Monitor, analyze, reconcile, and report on all financial activity
  • Responsible for timely processing of accounting documents according to closing schedules
  • Prepare various general ledger entries to facilitate monthly, quarterly and yearly closing
  • Develop and regularly distribute financial reports for department heads
  • Review and recommend operational policies/procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
  • Relevant Experience (3 Years)
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or related field
