Responsibilities
Responsibility for a team of 10 employees with scope for initiative and autonomy
Conceptual, organizational, personnel and financial responsibility for the Finance department
Driving the ongoing change process and supporting the digital transformation of the finance function
Supporting the implementation of an electronic document management system (EDMS)
Advising and supporting departmental management on strategic matters, financial planning and value creation
Designing processes and preparing cost calculations for grant-funded projects
Bank correspondence, liquidity tracking and investment planning
Coordination and negotiation with financial service providers
Coordination of the internal preparation of the annual financial statements
Evaluation and modernization of organization-wide financial processes and policies
Requirements
University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration or a related field with a focus on cost accounting/controlling/financial management
At least 5 years of professional experience in financial management, consulting or controlling
Excellent skills in MS Excel (including PivotTables) and/or other controlling and planning software
Experience in digitalization processes and change management
Very good knowledge of and confident use of at least one common accounting software (ideally Sage100 or DATEV)
Solid knowledge of commercial and tax law; knowledge of grant law is an advantage
