About the role
- Finance Department Head in a modern humanistic association responsible for financial management and team leadership. Leading digital transformation and financial processes with a focus on organization-wide improvements.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for a team of 10 employees with scope for initiative and autonomy
- Conceptual, organizational, personnel and financial responsibility for the Finance department
- Driving the ongoing change process and supporting the digital transformation of the finance function
- Supporting the implementation of an electronic document management system (EDMS)
- Advising and supporting departmental management on strategic matters, financial planning and value creation
- Designing processes and preparing cost calculations for grant-funded projects
- Bank correspondence, liquidity tracking and investment planning
- Coordination and negotiation with financial service providers
- Coordination of the internal preparation of the annual financial statements
- Evaluation and modernization of organization-wide financial processes and policies
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration or a related field with a focus on cost accounting/controlling/financial management
- At least 5 years of professional experience in financial management, consulting or controlling
- Excellent skills in MS Excel (including PivotTables) and/or other controlling and planning software
- Experience in digitalization processes and change management
- Very good knowledge of and confident use of at least one common accounting software (ideally Sage100 or DATEV)
- Solid knowledge of commercial and tax law; knowledge of grant law is an advantage
