About the role

  • Contributes to the achievement of financial and business objectives of our Global Central Labs (GCL) through accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting
  • Works cross-functionally with operations, commercial finance, and finance to resolve issues related to costs, contract values, billing, financial reporting, financial tools and processes
  • Prepares invoices and credit memos in a timely and accurate manner which may include more sophisticated and/or government projects
  • Prepares and maintains data structures for loading into financial management systems including budget data manipulation, consolidation and loading, and project set-up for billing and time tracking purposes
  • Compiles, analyzes and reports financial data across different segments of the business and ensures data integrity in all reporting activities
  • Communicates with sponsors, project analysts, accounts payable, collection personnel, senior management and all other internal customers to resolve billing and data issues and produces required management reports
  • Prepares customer reporting based on specific needs, builds and utilizes custom excel tools to address various departments’ needs
  • Ensures proper approvals for documents and reports audit compliance, performs authorization activities and tracks changes in contract value
  • Completes month-end related activities
  • Provides guidance to junior team members and may serve as their mentor

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification (Accounting and Finance degrees)
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0-3 years)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorhip
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • For roles with more technical focus previous experience with SharePoint / VBA / SQL / Power BI / RPA (comparable to 1+ years) will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to handle data effectively
  • Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes
  • Confidence to handle sensitive information and make sound recommendations
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
  • Work Schedule: Standard (Mon-Fri)
