About the role

  • Ensure Finance department systems are functional, efficient, and evolving
  • Provide technical and administrative support for finance systems
  • Investigate system issues and document processes to maintain optimal performance and appropriate controls
  • Partner closely with finance end-users, IT teams, and external suppliers
  • Manage system access, resolve user queries, and support infrastructure needs
  • Support Finance transformation project, working with Microsoft & Snowflake technologies
  • Aid implementation of a new ERP system and Finance Data Mart
  • Undertake BAU duties including month-end activities and maintaining controls across the estate
  • Support UAT, share best practice and assist with initial configuration and development of system capabilities

Requirements

  • Undertaking core BAU duties that support operation of a finance department, including administering access to systems, month-end activities, and maintaining appropriate controls
  • Work closely across Finance teams, IT, and 3rd party suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues & queries
  • Assist finance team with UAT and sharing best practice
  • Assist with initial configuration of new systems and act as key contributor for development of additional capabilities
  • Knowledge of database technologies e.g. SQL/Snowflake
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies and Snowflake (supporting Finance transformation)
  • High level of accuracy with the ability to reconcile large volumes of data
  • Able to explain technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills – ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Strong communication, listening and influencing skills (both internal and external)
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and the ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail and concentration
