About the role

  • Responsible for execution of design/turbine operation changes to mitigate failure rates in warranty fleet
  • Utilize technologies like Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics to reduce time to troubleshoot and replacement part cycle times
  • Identify and develop programs to drive down time to return units to service
  • Partner with Program Management and Product Line to guide optimal design decisions
  • Lead technical program teams on all system trade-offs and optimizations
  • Communicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical material
  • Lead major Services investments from pre-conceptual design work through design, validation, and launch
  • Contribute to development of the Multigeneration Engineering Plan for Services
  • Effectively manage program requirements and requirement flow down
  • Support and improve the availability and serviceability of existing wind turbine fleet
  • Contribute to new and existing design practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projects
  • Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making
  • System or product-level mindset
  • Conceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experience
  • Wind turbine experience in design, installation, operation, maintenance or repairs
  • Requirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experience
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
