Senior Financial App Systems Analyst managing the transition to SAP S4 Hana for the City of Toronto, ensuring effective system support and design implementation.
About the role
- Provide technical and administrative support to ensure Finance systems are functional, efficient, and evolving
- Investigate system issues and document processes to maintain performance and appropriate controls
- Partner with finance end-users, IT teams, and external suppliers to manage system access, resolve queries, and support infrastructure needs
- Support Finance transformation project using Microsoft & Snowflake technologies
- Aid implementation of a new ERP system and Finance Data Mart
- Administer access to systems, support month-end activities and maintain controls across the estate
- Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of end-user issues & queries
- Assist with UAT, initial configuration of new systems and development of additional system capabilities
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience undertaking core BAU duties supporting operation of a finance department, including administering access to systems, month-end activities, and maintaining appropriate controls
- Experience working closely across Finance teams, IT, and 3rd party suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues & queries
- Experience assisting finance team with UAT and sharing best practice
- Experience assisting with initial configuration of new systems and developing additional system capabilities
- Knowledge of database technologies e.g. SQL/Snowflake
- High level of accuracy with ability to reconcile large volumes of data
- Ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience
- Excellent organisational and time management skills – ability to work to strict deadlines
- Strong communication, listening and influencing skills
- Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
