About the role
- Finance Assistant responsible for processing financial transactions during system change. Supporting month-end activities and assisting with basic system testing in finance transformation.
Responsibilities
- Support the Finance team during a period of system change and ongoing operational activity
- Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions across purchase and sales ledgers
- Supporting month-end activities
- Assisting with basic system testing as part of our finance transformation programme
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts payable/receivable role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles, including accruals and prepayments
- Comfortable following structured testing scripts or procedures
- Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency with finance systems and Excel
- Experience working in a finance function during a system change or ERP implementation
- Familiarity with purchase and sales ledger processes in a medium to large organization
