Finance Assistant responsible for processing financial transactions during system change. Supporting month-end activities and assisting with basic system testing in finance transformation.
Responsibilities
Support the Finance team during a period of system change and ongoing operational activity
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions across purchase and sales ledgers
Supporting month-end activities
Assisting with basic system testing as part of our finance transformation programme
Reconcile supplier and customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Support the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as required
Requirements
Previous experience in a finance or accounts payable/receivable role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing
Good understanding of basic accounting principles, including accruals and prepayments
Comfortable following structured testing scripts or procedures
Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Proficiency with finance systems and Excel
Experience working in a finance function during a system change or ERP implementation
Familiarity with purchase and sales ledger processes in a medium to large organization
