Responsibilities
Analyze and evaluate investment opportunities in the securitized products universe.
Analyze and recommend potential purchases and sales of securitized products securities to enhance portfolio performance. Conduct fundamental sector, market, and security analysis, and combine relative value and strategy considerations in sector and security recommendations.
Analyze the fundamentals in covered sectors, including underwriting standards, prepayment and default forecasting, collateral market trends, macro developments and their impact on securitized credit securities.
Communicate and collaborate with various internal and external parties to develop well-researched, sound investment recommendations and sector theses.
Requirements
College degree
5+ years of direct investment experience in ABS
Experience developing and maintaining reports and data
Understanding of financial accounting, derivatives markets, and computer skills
Experience using Intex and Bloomberg
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong decision-making and risk management background
Strong analytical skills
Collaborative, inquisitive and detail-oriented personality
Experience analyzing 4a2 transactions is a plus
Advanced business degree is a plus
Chartered Financial Analyst designation preferred
Experience with data querying languages and tools
Knowledge of Excel VBA and/or Python
