About the role
- Executive Underwriter managing Domestic Casualty business, underwriting and analyzing accounts in the Mid-Atlantic region for Zurich. Hybrid work from Philadelphia office with visibility in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Underwriting, analyzing, and generating new and renewal business
- Market facing and production within the Large Casualty, National Accounts division
- Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules
- Developing and maintaining agency and broker relationships in the Mid-Atlantic Region
- Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.
Requirements
- Executive Underwriter: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area, OR 10+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area, OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 3+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing area, OR 8+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area
- AVP, Underwriting Director: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area, OR 14+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area, OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 5+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing area, OR 12+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
- Teamwork experience.
