About the role
- Overlay Manager leading overall site design and technical requirements for SailGP Americas events. Collaborating with teams to ensure seamless event delivery from London headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed site layouts and plans for the event (CAD)
- Responsible for building integrated venue design for suppliers
- Review and adjust specifications as needed to meet evolving project needs
- Manage quotes and specs for all temporary structures
- Collaborate with colleagues, Local Production Agency, suppliers and contractors
- Create and maintain a project management plan for event operations
- Assess overall site readiness ahead of build
- Enforce health and safety compliance alongside SailGP and Local Production Agencies
Requirements
- Strong proven experience in venue design planning and site management for live events in greenfield sites
- Strong experience in project management, procurement and budget management
- Experience in team management and project lead roles overseeing multiple projects in parallel
- Experience in developing and overseeing build and derig programs including resource allocation and management
- Experience of implementing, owning and enforcing the venue health and safety rules and processes
- Appreciation for accuracy and pays close attention to detail when handling key information
- Proficient organisational, prioritisation, communication and administrative skills
- Able to communicate confidently and adapt communication style according to the needs of the stakeholder
- Able to work independently but values working collaboratively as part of a team
- Works effectively and enjoys a fast-paced, start-up environment
