About the role

  • Support the planning and execution of large-scale national events including liaising with venues and vendors
  • Provide day-of event support including staffing, troubleshooting, and attendee services
  • Serve as the key logistics contact for J Street’s student programming
  • Assist in managing multi-departmental event planning processes from start to finish
  • Develop and maintain detailed work plans and timelines
  • Build and manage event registration forms using Eventbrite and help maintain accurate event data in Salesforce
  • Track and manage event data metrics, including registration data, housing, speaker databases, travel and budget spreadsheets
  • Assist in improving systems for collecting and analyzing events-related data
  • Track event attendance, gather feedback, and support post-event evaluations
  • Provide general administrative and logistical support to the Events team and other teams across the organization

Requirements

  • Experience (paid or volunteer) in event planning and/or project coordination
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities efficiently
  • Strong data skills and an interest in data organization and systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relational and able to work with many different types of people
  • A passion for organization, problem solving, and logistics
  • Comfort working across teams and balancing cross-departmental needs
  • A genuine desire to support others with a service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
  • Good humor and resilience in fast-paced environments
  • Alignment with and interest in J Street’s mission and issue areas
