About the role

  • Researching, developing, implementing, and maintaining integrated software solutions which allow attorneys and staff to access firm resources from the office and remote locations
  • Leading project teams to research, evaluate, design, implement, and support complex enterprise applications, on premises and in the Cloud
  • Liaising with stakeholders and leaders of other business units to ensure that their needs are understood and met
  • Designing software solutions and integrations for all facets of attorney work, document generation, research, client billing, business development, analysis, and fact-finding, while acting as a Subject Matter Expert regarding these solutions to provide expert analysis of needs required for successful implementations
  • Utilizing their technical creativity to identify and implement additional enhancements and new software solutions for Latham’s legal professionals and administrative departments
  • Installing, maintaining, and upgrading software for all users within the firm, and making recommendations to managers regarding the setting of standards for firm software and desktop/notebook configurations
  • Monitoring and tuning supported platforms to ensure optimal performance and system availability
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field; appropriate work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the Information Technology profession
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience installing, supporting, and upgrading back-end databases and enterprise class, multi-user software applications
  • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of software programs, including Microsoft Windows Enterprise, Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Possess knowledge of the Intapp product suite (Integration Builder, Time, Open, Walls), Microsoft SQL, iManage, and other 3rd party applications utilized in the legal industry
  • Exhibit knowledge and proficiency with administration and the maintenance of relational databases used by supported applications
