About the role
- Support various client projects including MS SQL Server, SharePoint and MS Power BI solutions
- Implement third-party tax applications and custom tax technology applications
- Support and automate internal and external operations of multinational tax departments
- Document requirements, configuration, testing, debugging, and tax systems/process configuration
- Identify and implement automation for manual tasks using financial/tax systems and emerging technologies
- Consolidate tax data to improve analysis and planning
- Improve reporting capabilities to enhance clients' ability to evaluate risk and capitalize on opportunities
- Support project team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Drive tax technology program mobilization, strategy, and road mapping
- Lead direct and indirect tax systems implementation and configuration
- Lead tax operating model transformation, including process improvement, risk and controls
- Conduct tax function assessments
Requirements
- Minimum of eight plus years of broad based, relevant public accounting/or corporate tax transformation
- Experience in Big-4 public accounting firms
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Master’s in taxation/or CPA/Member of the Bar
- Travel – own transportation required; be willing to travel to local client sites
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks and monitoring them until completion, including documenting requirements, configuration, testing, debugging, project profitability, and tax systems and process configuration
- Identifying ways to automate manual tasks using existing financial or tax systems and emerging technologies (RPA, AI, cloud solutions)
- Experience with data lake development and business intelligence innovation
- Proficiency with MS SQL Server, SharePoint, and MS Power BI
- Experience implementing third-party tax applications and supporting multinational tax departments
