Responsibilities
- Monitor and integrate security measures into a growing IT environment across the full software development and operations lifecycle (DevOps)
- Key responsibilities include optimizing development processes and tools, automating security tests, implementing secure CI/CD pipelines by improving shell scripts, conducting vulnerability analyses, and managing infrastructure security
- Support developers throughout the development lifecycle
- Configure and administer secure systems, including containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments
- Monitor systems for security incidents and perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, including root cause analysis
- Ensure compliance and data protection (ISO 27001, GDPR) across the full workflow
- Maintain best practices and company standards, including producing documentation
- Participate in ad-hoc security and engineering projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- DevSecOps Engineer (ECDE) certification is an advantage
- Professional experience as a DevSecOps engineer in banking, consulting on banking projects, or at an international Microsoft partner
- Ability to analyze IT environments from a top-down perspective
- Experience with end-to-end hybrid cloud and AI-driven solutions
- Solid understanding of cloud security concepts, vulnerability management, and secure configuration in cloud environments
- Technical expertise in Kubernetes, including deep knowledge of control plane components, networking (CNI), storage (CSI), service mesh concepts, and operators
- Experience with at least one CI/CD tool (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with logging, ETL, API management, and NoSQL databases
- Development experience with Microsoft .NET and familiarity with technologies such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, or Kafka
- Experience with version control (Git), automation (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Professional development experience with Microsoft .NET is desirable
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development and operations teams and promote security awareness
- Hands-on mentality and proactive approach
- Proficiency in German and English
