About the role

  • Desktop Support Specialist supporting small business customers with technical issues and application troubleshooting. Role requires home office work post-orientation and site visits in Laurel, MD area as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support small business customers as a Desktop Support Specialist
  • Respond to matters involving a single computer or user
  • Troubleshoot routine user challenges with applications
  • Program Installation
  • Respond to monitoring alerts
  • Carry out tasks assigned by more experienced roles
  • Conduct on-site matters beyond the capabilities of Field Service Technicians

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an IT Technician or an IT Certification is preferred
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Drivers license and vehicle
  • Availability for occasional travel for work
  • Strong Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to troubleshoot it
  • Strong Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to troubleshoot it
  • Familiarity with computer hardware repair including on desktop and laptops
  • Familiarity with desktop and peripheral installation
  • Good cable management practices
  • A working understanding of network concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with wifi concepts
  • Reside near Laurel, MD
