Responsibilities
You coordinate database updates with service providers and independently test them beforehand
You identify optimization opportunities in the database environment
You monitor the load and health of the server farm, networks and services using appropriate metrics and sensors
You maintain an overview of the existing tools and products
You configure log events so that you receive the necessary information about the system’s state
You support the expansion of our server farm in collaboration with our service provider
You roll out updates on the server farm together with our service provider and test them first in test environments
You participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and take primary responsibility for incident resolution at night and on weekends (approx. 1 week per month)
Requirements
Extensive, long-standing database experience with MariaDB / Galera
Several years of experience in Linux system administration
Strong expertise in collecting and defining metrics for server infrastructures
Fluent German (at least C1) and good English skills
Enjoys collaborating with software developers
Able to independently learn and work on new technical areas
