About the role

  • Reporting to the Hurd Vice President (VP), responsible for all facets of project management including budgeting, scheduling, tracking, procurement, document control, safety, quality, and managing multiple projects.
  • Manage all construction activities and coordinate work with division leaders and project team.
  • Collaborate with site Superintendents to evaluate construction means and methods.
  • Promote and maintain client relationships.
  • Review drawings and specifications, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
  • Assist with job estimates by interpreting bid documents.
  • Develop and manage project schedule to ensure critical path requirements are achieved.
  • Ensure project financial success by establishing and managing budgets.
  • Collaborate with project team to improve production, efficiencies and reduce expenses.
  • Ensure all project documentation is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Direct communication with project Owners, Construction Managers, and project teams.
  • Attend onsite coordination meetings and project specific meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field) or minimum 5 years equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience working on commercial construction projects.
  • Capable of working with a diverse workforce.
  • Be self-directed and able to work independently within remote work environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft365.
  • Have proven experience working in a computerized construction management system (ie. Procore, Sage).
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (if not currently held must obtain within first 60 days).
  • Commitment to continued professional growth and development.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

  • 30% of time involves travel throughout Florida overseeing assigned projects.
  • Must also be willing to travel overnight from time to time.
