About the role
- Communications Advisor organizing impactful events for Tech+Lab's 3000+ employees. Collaborates closely with the events team to ensure smooth execution and engagement for all attendees.
Responsibilities
- Take part in the creative thinking and development of events and projects.
- Actively participate in the planning, coordination and execution of all logistical and material aspects of event organization.
- Be present on site at events and help ensure that they run smoothly.
- Participate in the drafting and dissemination of event-related communications.
- Keep abreast of best practices and trends in event organization and make suggestions for the implementation of ever more innovative and engaging activities.
- Contribute to various other tasks or projects, depending on the team's mandates and your skills.
Requirements
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or an appropriate discipline
- Previous work experience or internship in a communications and/or events-related position
- Excellent writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including SharePoint), an asset
- Comfortable using graphic or video production/editing tools (such as Photoshop or Canva), an asset
- Creativity, energy, and a sense of innovation
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with resilience and adaptability, and to manage stress well
- Curiosity, resourcefulness and versatility
- Thoroughness, meticulousness, attention to detail and quality
- Proactivity and desire to bring new ways of doing things to the event industry
