About the role

  • Communications Advisor organizing impactful events for Tech+Lab's 3000+ employees. Collaborates closely with the events team to ensure smooth execution and engagement for all attendees.

Responsibilities

  • Take part in the creative thinking and development of events and projects.
  • Actively participate in the planning, coordination and execution of all logistical and material aspects of event organization.
  • Be present on site at events and help ensure that they run smoothly.
  • Participate in the drafting and dissemination of event-related communications.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and trends in event organization and make suggestions for the implementation of ever more innovative and engaging activities.
  • Contribute to various other tasks or projects, depending on the team's mandates and your skills.

Requirements

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or an appropriate discipline
  • Previous work experience or internship in a communications and/or events-related position
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including SharePoint), an asset
  • Comfortable using graphic or video production/editing tools (such as Photoshop or Canva), an asset
  • Creativity, energy, and a sense of innovation
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with resilience and adaptability, and to manage stress well
  • Curiosity, resourcefulness and versatility
  • Thoroughness, meticulousness, attention to detail and quality
  • Proactivity and desire to bring new ways of doing things to the event industry
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
