About the role
- Collateral Analyst I managing asset-based lending operations at Capital One. Analyzing client collateral and ensuring compliance with loan agreements while working virtually or in-office.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor client’s collateral to ensure compliance with loan agreements and accurate ineligible calculations.
- Prepare collateral reconciliation, and balance deposit accounts on a daily basis. Work with clients and Underwriters to resolve discrepancies.
- Review and analyze clients accounts receivable performance, identify ineligible collateral following prescribed guidelines and reconciling client’s collateral balances.
- Prepares summaries of client’s accounts receivable.
- Review and analyze client’s inventory consignments and prepare reports on client’s inventory activity.
- Review reports and documentation submitted by clients on a daily basis.
- Prepare necessary documentation to process client’s daily payment and advance requests.
- Input data on client accounts into the bank’s loan accounting Advanced Commercial Banking System (ACBS) via ECC Schedule module for tracking and trending purposes.
- Leverage accounting systems to reconcile the loan balances to the collateral monitoring database and process transactions to manage dominion accounts.
- Ongoing process and control review for effectiveness, gaps, and ongoing enhancements and updates based on evolving business needs, product offerings, and industry trends.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly verification letters and perform regular follow up on any exceptions or non-responses.
- Collaborate with underwriters to deliver specialized support for products, specifically handling tasks like lender finance requirements and field examinations.
- Work directly with customers to discuss and resolve any discrepancies in their collateral reporting.
- Ensure collateral reporting and documentation is properly stored and maintained in alignment with document retention policies and procedures.
- Other typical duties as assigned and associated with ongoing improvement and strategic goals and initiatives.

- Assist in training incoming ABS Collateral Analyst team members.
- Excel expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced functions (e.g., XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), pivot tables, and macros to analyze large datasets and create sophisticated reports.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 1 year of experience in financial services or asset based lending
- At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in financial services or asset based lending (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with collateral monitoring software (ACBS, Solifi, ABLSoft) (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) (preferred)
