About the role
- Enhance and manage current Azure cloud environments
- Monitor and enhance security of current and future Azure environments
- Evaluate and automate scaling and capacity requirements within Azure
- Troubleshoot and resolve Azure performance, connectivity, and security issues
- Implement new environments in the Azure cloud
- Work with teams to integrate Azure infrastructure components into processes and procedures
- Support Enterprise Data Center servers and Active Directory
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, IT, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience supporting Azure Cloud applications
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure solutions (Compute, Storage, Network, Security)
- Knowledge of Backup, Restore, Recovery, and high availability strategies for Azure
- Familiarity with IaaS and PaaS services
- Expertise in Windows Server and SQL database management (creation, configuration, upgrade, migration, patching)
- Troubleshooting performance, connectivity, and security issues in Azure environments
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and LDAP
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune)
- Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, Windows Authentication, and network protocols (DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP routing/subnetting and VPN connectivity troubleshooting
- Excellent PowerShell skills
- Experience managing Active Directory including GPOs
- Preferred certifications: AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
