• Legal Claims Professional specializing in Employment Practices Liability claims for Tokio Marine HCC. Evaluating claims, overseeing litigation processes, and providing guidance to less experienced personnel.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage claims including the conducting of investigations, evaluation, and negotiation of settlements
• Specializes in claims arising under Employment Practices Liability policies
• Oversee all aspects of the litigation process for claims to minimize company risk of loss
• Analyze coverage issues, conduct investigations, and evaluate to determine validity of moderately complex claims
• Prepare and draft moderately complex legal correspondence to affected parties using mail, fax, or other electronic means
• Maintain claim files - both physical and electronic
• Communicate with agents, principals, claimants, and other attorneys both orally and in writing concerning claim status
• Negotiate claim settlement but must seek approval or denial for claims outside defined limit
• Conduct legal research and other miscellaneous legal matters
• May provide guidance to less experienced Claims personnel

Requirements

• Minimum Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degree or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience
• Required Licensure to practice law in the applicable state jurisdiction(s)
• 2 Years Relevant legal and/or professional experience in insurance claims
