About the role
- Senior Claims Analyst at AIG handling complex bodily injury and property damage claims for various clients. Directing litigation and presenting large cases to management with focus on customer service and claims strategy.
Responsibilities
- Handle claims for bodily injury, wrongful employment practices and property damage claims under Excess or Umbrella Commercial General Liability policies
- Handle claims in all 50 states on behalf of small companies, governmental entities and major corporations
- Direct the litigation, attend mediations and trials, assess liability and damages and recommend reserves
- Present large value cases to senior management
- Strategize and budget litigation of each claim through discussions with counsel, vendors and insureds
- Establish clear ground rules with defense and coverage counsel to maintain financial control of budget and expenses
Requirements
- 3+ years of Commercial/Industry claims experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and strong negotiation skills
- Advanced experience and capabilities in litigation claims management including ADR and mediation process
- Property and Casualty licenses required, must be obtained within 6 months
- Motivated individuals who are interested in the potential for an upwardly mobile career path
