About the role

  • Experienced Business Migration Lead focusing on governance and technical aspects in insurance sector transformation. Leading the migration lifecycle and ensuring business readiness for critical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an end-to-end review of the migration lifecycle, from requirements and mapping through to test cycles, batch execution and cutover
  • Identify gaps, root causes and improvement opportunities across the current migration process
  • Assess existing controls, quality gates and assurance steps, and define where these need to be strengthened or introduced
  • Review upcoming product scope to identify heightened risks, including complexity in mapping rules, product structures and batch dependencies
  • Translate technical migration dependencies into clear business impacts, risks and decisions
  • Act as the business lead across migration activity, ensuring strong coordination between delivery, technology and business stakeholders
  • Escalate migration issues where needed and support timely decisions on remediation and risk acceptance
  • Strengthen governance, checkpoints and accountability across migration cycles
  • Support business readiness for dry runs, mock runs and final cutover activity
  • Ensure migrated outputs are validated properly, including policy accuracy, underwriting rules and financial outcomes

Requirements

  • Strong experience leading or overseeing business migration activity on large transformation programmes
  • Experience reviewing end-to-end migration processes, controls and governance in delivery environments where quality and timing are critical
  • Hands-on experience of delivery implementation runbooks, rollback scenarios, management of dress rehearsals, and business readiness management
  • Ability to identify root causes across business and technical workstreams and drive practical improvement actions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge, escalate and influence at senior level
  • Experience working across requirements, data mapping, testing, batch execution and cutover planning
  • Comfortable operating in complex environments with multiple dependencies and evolving priorities
  • Insurance sector experience is strongly preferred
  • Underwriting knowledge or exposure would be particularly valuable
