About the role

Responsibilities
- Gather policyholders' or witnesses' accounts by interviewing them about the events
- Determine whether the claim is covered by analyzing the required coverages
- Analyze the information obtained, make decisions to establish liability, and review damage assessments
- Settle the claim in a fair and equitable manner, validate damages and process payments
- When necessary, open new claims by phone with clients and ensure immediate handling of the situation
Requirements
- Motivated to pursue a career in claims
- Relevant experience for the role (knowledge of building mechanical systems)
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work with computer systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual French/English; required to answer calls and regularly provide service to English-speaking clients
- Minimum: either a college diploma OR three years of transferable full‑time experience combined with a high school diploma / vocational diploma (DES/DEP) (at least 60 credits), Certificate of Equivalence of Secondary Studies (CEES), or an attestation of equivalency to the fifth year of secondary school
