Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the Win pillar team to drive growth of the Energy & Resources group in the region by supporting marketing strategy, business development activities and key projects.
Participate with sector leaders and account managers in efforts to expand the reach and client base of the Business Centre (BC) using rigorous marketing, business development and account management plans.
Help raise Stantec’s visibility to increase brand awareness and revenue by communicating the company’s expertise and innovations at client events.
Actively participate in Go/No-Go reviews, contribute to project-winning strategies and ensure successful delivery through direct involvement in strategic project development, client management and project execution.
Lead the implementation of the annual marketing and business development plan for the BC, and assist with managing marketing expenditures.
Actively contribute to win strategies and to the successful delivery of projects.
Requirements
Expertise across areas related to heavy industrial processes, conventional power, power distribution, renewable energy generation and/or hydroelectricity.
Strong understanding of the industrial and energy sectors and their key players.
Ability to identify and evaluate project opportunities aligned with Stantec’s strategic plan.
Proven success working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to win mandates and deliver projects on time and on budget.
Excellent business development skills.
Degree in electrical, structural, civil or mechanical engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with a Canadian engineering association.
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in energy systems design and project engineering within utilities, EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) and/or consulting organizations.
