Drive business development and CPA channel partnerships for Ryan's global tax services. Expand client relationships, cross-sell services, and coordinate client delivery across regions.
Responsibilities
Communicate the Firm’s vision and capabilities to the marketplace and engage clients and prospects consultatively
Expand and cross-sell within client relationships and pursue new business relationships and qualified prospects
Manage CPA Channel Partners and related clients within assigned region/territory
Develop and execute strategic engagement initiatives with CPA firms to drive referrals and revenue opportunities
Work closely with Client Services and Service Delivery teams to assist with business development pursuits
Meet with prospects and clients, attend business development meetings locally and nationally to generate leads
Develop responses to requests for engagement letters, MSAs, agreements, and proposals and generate deal-closing documentation
Monitor client satisfaction, ensure timely service delivery and adherence to Client Service Principles
Track CPA engagement activities and referral outcomes in the Firm’s CRM and analyze referral trends
Support CPA-focused marketing campaigns, event planning, and educational content; plan/host CPE trainings or VIP events
Stay current on tax issues to identify sales opportunities and assist with other projects as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in Business Development and/or Sales
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with Document Management Systems (Microsoft SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox, eFileCabinet)
CRM experience (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, OnContact, NetSuite)
Valid driver’s license required
Applicants must have US work authorization that does not require sponsorship
Must be based in or near Irvine, CA, Chicago, IL, or Bellevue, WA and report to the office twice a week
Willingness to travel: overnight travel up to 15% and regional/local travel roughly 40% (typically 2 days/week)
Strong business development experience and professional demeanor
Ability to make cold calls and maintain contact via phone, email, and professional networks
