About the role
- Business Analyst specializing in SaaS solutions for Alternative Asset Management at Portfolio BI. Focusing on enhancing software solutions for data workflow, analytics, trading, and portfolio management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and understand their needs and objectives
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for the development team
- Ensure all requirements are clearly communicated and understood by all parties involved
- Work closely with software development teams
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of implemented solutions
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the software meets business needs and quality standards
- Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to support decision-making processes
- Provide training and support to end-users on new software features and functionalities
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience in business analysis, within the asset management, or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of public market securities (Equity, Fixed Income, Equity Derivates, etc) along with trade life cycle - Subject Matter Expert in the field
- Strong understanding of SaaS solutions and their application in trading and portfolio management
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English language
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or CFA designation is a plus
