About the role
- Supervising and guiding staff to ensure accurate, timely third-party revenue collection, including insurance verification and Medicaid authorizations
- Overseeing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations for billing staff
- Maintaining the security, accuracy, and integrity of electronic and paper billing systems
- Collaborating with providers, finance, patient access services, and payers to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
- Driving quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- CPC, CCS, or CBCS certification
- 5+ years’ medical billing and coding experience, 4+ years of supervisory experience
- Ability to lead, train, and mentor teams on complex processes
- Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, ACA plans, and private insurance
- Proficiency with EPIC EHR and Microsoft Office Suite
