Responsibilities
- Oversee complex financial reporting & analysis for CXO, aggregating into a narrative for Canada
- Present results and analysis to senior management
- Provide strategic insights on cost drivers and financial performance
- Understand cost structures and help BUs identify optimization opportunities
- Develop innovative solutions to enhance financial discipline
- Influence and support BUs strategy development
- Identify operational risks and propose mitigating strategies
- Lead a global team across different time zones
- Mentor and develop team members for improved performance
Requirements
- Finance and accounting designation (CPA, etc.) with 10+ years of experience in Insurance and/or Financial Services industry
- Strategic mindset with understanding of SL Canada businesses and operations
- Preference for leaders with knowledge of Client Experience metrics, Digital ways of working
- Proven ability to translate complex ideas into simple terms
- Demonstrated experience in driving change, transformation, and optimization workstreams
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams during change
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., SAP, Hyperion Planning and Reporting, Tableau)
- Familiarity with new technologies for analytical work (i.e. Alteryx, Python)
- Strong presentation skills for senior audiences
- Bilingualism (French, English) required for Quebec only
