About the role

  • Financial Analyst III managing budget and forecasts at L.A. Care Health Plan. Assisting with financial analysis and mentoring staff in budget preparation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in the preparation of the annual budget and multiple forecasts
  • Prepare, consolidate, and analyze budgets for L.A. Care Health Plan
  • Assist with financial statement analysis and reporting
  • Interact with management team and department staff for budget development
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and mentor other staff
  • Develop budget/forecast data models
  • Support Division Chiefs and Directors on monitoring departmental spending

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Related Field
  • At least 4 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and/or Finance
  • Experience in accounting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience with financial data for Medi-Cal population or healthcare industry (preferred)
  • Experience with SAP financial systems (preferred)
  • Strong financial modeling and superior attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues
