About the role
- Automation Engineer developing Ansible solutions across infrastructure at Organon. Collaborating on automation, maintaining frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules to automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing Ansible automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate Ansible with other tools such as Bitbucket (Git), Bitbucket Pipelines (CI/CD), and ServiceNow (ITSM).
- Ensure compliance with security and operational policies through automated enforcement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and infrastructure deployments.
- Document automation processes, standards, and best practices.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers on automation techniques and tools.
- Manage and upgrade Ansible Automation Platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in automation engineering or DevOps roles
- Proficiency in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell
- Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD tools, and infrastructure provisioning
- Understanding of networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows systems administration
- Exposure to ITIL practices and enterprise service management platforms
