Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks from scratch
- Work across both UI and API layers, ensuring end-to-end test coverage
- Develop clean, reusable automation code (not just record/playback)
- Troubleshoot and resolve test stability issues, improving overall reliability
- Implement and optimise advanced locator strategies (dynamic XPath, CSS selectors)
- Contribute to data-driven API testing across REST and SOAP services
- Collaborate with developers, BAs, and DevOps teams in large enterprise environments
- Help uplift automation practices and guide teams towards better engineering standards
Requirements
- Strong experience in automation engineering (not just tool usage)
- Hands-on proficiency in JavaScript
- Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch
- Deep knowledge of advanced locator strategies (e.g. dynamic XPath, CSS selectors)
- Experience with data-driven API testing (REST / SOAP)
- Strong scripting capability within Katalon, with a focus on custom code
- Ability to act as a technical problem solver, identifying and resolving systemic issues in test suites
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
