About the role

  • Participate in a formal rotational Associate Product Manager (APM) training program with mentorship and apprenticeship-style learning
  • Complete two ~9-month rotations across different product areas (mobile apps, web software, hardware devices, etc.)
  • Learn core product management skills and run beta programs to gather customer and stakeholder feedback
  • Manage end-to-end launches of new features, enable customers and internal teams, and measure feature success during roll-out
  • Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Marketing to develop new features and potentially manage a small roadmap
  • Interact with and learn from the executive team to understand scaling a growth-stage company
  • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally

Requirements

  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Experience building a product, startup, application, or nonprofit as a founding member or co-founder
  • 0 years of experience in a full-time product management role (product management internships acceptable)
  • Currently obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Cognitive Science, or another technical discipline (degree must be completed by joining; target Spring 2026)
  • Not hiring MBAs; Master’s must be part of a co-terminal program
  • Prior evidence of strong intellectual curiosity and leadership skills
  • Ability to glean insights from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Bias-for-action; willingness to get hands dirty
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and structured thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing/able to be based in Samsara’s San Francisco headquarters for the duration of the program
  • Ability to secure and maintain legal right to work at the company and in the specified work location
