About the role
- Associate Director, Contracts supporting Land & Air Defense Systems at RTX. Establishing relationships and improving contract alignment through collaboration and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Establish trusting relationships and engage directly with Contracts Managers and Material Program Managers to improve alignment between our prime contract and supply chain
- Advise on prime contract Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) and/or on subcontract T&Cs by understanding the business impact of misaligned terms
- Help drive contracts symmetry through the value chain by aligning terms, conditions, and requirements with customers through to suppliers
- Communicate effectively with internal and external senior level customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships, resolve complex problems, and influence business decisions
- Play an essential role in Request for Proposal (RFP), capture and proposal strategy, and negotiation objectives and strategies
- Align program objectives and Strategic Business Unit business goals through early engagement business process tools
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years' experience
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
- Experience with Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), International Direct Commercial Sales, and/or supplier agreements closely aligned with prime contract terms and duration
