About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of monthly and quarterly close processes related to trade funds for all domestic business units
- Support annual trade fund and SMG "sweep" (reconciliation and close out) of fund year
- Provide mentorship and support in trade fund accounting matters and other ad hoc requests
- Provide ongoing support to external audit activities including preparation and review of audit requirements
- Identify, recommend and implement process improvements including driving automation/simplification of processes and improving visibility on roles and responsibilities and improving internal control environment
- Provide coaching and oversight for direct report
- Other ad hoc projects/requests
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting and finance experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Outstanding project management skills, including substantial attention to detail
- Ability to work in a cross functional environment and form working relationships with other functions and teams
- Proficient in PC applications (e.g. Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint)
- Continuous improvement mindset, specifically the ability to identify, design and implement process updates to streamline tasks and retain/improve quality
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and predict issues and risks
- Ability to proactively take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution
- Passion for supervising and developing teammates as a people manager on this team
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting
