Responsibilities
You will be responsible for independently managing the accounts receivable ledger — including reliable handling of open items and accurate account reconciliations
You will manage the dunning process and communicate professionally with customers in case of payment delays
You will support the preparation of outgoing invoices and verify their accuracy
You will perform credit checks and work closely with Sales and the Back Office
You will post incoming payments, resolve discrepancies and handle clarification cases and customer complaints
You will actively support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings
Maintaining customer master data in the Accounts MDG system and routine use of SAP FI/CO and MS Excel are part of your daily work
You will proactively contribute ideas for process optimization in receivables management and operate confidently in an international business environment
Requirements
Completed commercial vocational training and relevant professional experience in accounts receivable accounting
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, financial statement basics and tax law — especially VAT — and confident experience with SAP R/3 FI or SAP FI/CO
Experience with electronic invoicing processes, dunning procedures and customer communication
Strong numerical affinity and a high level of quality awareness
You work in a structured, independent and service-oriented manner — team spirit, flexibility and proactive thinking complete your profile
Good written and spoken German and English skills
