About the role
- Avionics Design Engineer developing electronic systems for next-gen drones. Collaborating on architecture, design, and integration of avionics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Development and design of wiring harnesses in Altium Designer, including connector specification and signal routing
- Analysis, design and documentation of the avionics system architecture for current and future UAV platforms
- Creation and maintenance of schematics, harness designs and system layouts
- Close collaboration with mechanical, software and test teams to ensure holistic system integration
- Mechanical integration of electronic assemblies, connectors and wiring harnesses considering form, fit and function
- Support for commissioning, troubleshooting and technical validation of avionics systems
- Optional: Participation in PCB design and prototype manufacturing
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics or a related field
- Solid experience with Altium Designer (schematic and harness design)
- Experience in system architecture and integration of electronic subsystems in aircraft or similar applications
- Knowledge of PCB design and ECAD/MCAD interfaces is an advantage
- Technical understanding of mechanical integration of electronic components
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style with a strong quality focus
- Strong communication skills in German and English and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
