Responsibilities
- Work within a project team environment to support construction projects at the Knolls Site.
- Develop and define project scope with sponsors.
- Work with a project team to develop specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and provide engineering support during construction phase for buildings and utility projects.
- Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors.
Requirements
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering
- Experience performing mechanical engineering tasks including the development of contract documents, calculations and cost estimates
- Working knowledge of building codes and standards
- Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFIs, construction inspections, etc.)
- Preferred: EIT certificate and/or P.E. License
- Engineering consulting experience
- Working knowledge of ASME codes
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems
