Responsibilities
- Create top-level 3D submittal models and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor
- Develop accurate bills of material (BOMs) and 2D manufacturing drawings
- Provide CNC programming support by supplying accurate DXF files
- Create, maintain, and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
- Drive continuous improvement by incorporating design enhancements
- Design products using sheet metal fabrication processes
- Ensure designs meet functional requirements and are manufacturable
- Support cost estimating activities in collaboration with the Estimating team
- Develop manufacturing process routings aligned with in-house production capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of sheet metal design experience in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience using Autodesk Inventor
- Experience designing for manufacturability (DFM)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment
