Responsibilities
Lead UX initiatives and follow established best practices as part of the SPEAR program.
Collaborate with one other UX designer, product manager, Mission Engineers, and development teams to translate user needs into design mockups.
Implement and maintain user interface components and interactions according to design specifications and established UI Style Guide.
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility and responsiveness of web applications.
Conduct user testing and research and gather feedback to inform design iterations and improvements, as needed.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in UX design and accessibility.
Contribute to the documentation of design and development processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a related field.
[5+] years of experience in UX design and 508 compliance.
Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Axure RP.
Solid understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, and accessibility standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Experience in user research methods and data analysis.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Good communication skills for presenting ideas to stakeholders, development teams and leadership.
Willingness to work in a mission-focused government environment.
Must have a TS/SCI clearance.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Experience building fluid/web responsive designs for user interfaces.
