About the role

  • Equity Administrator managing compliance and reporting for Pinterest's equity compensation plans. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and tax reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to administer equity compensation plans, including equity grants, PSU’s, RSU releases, employee demographic updates and equity education.
  • Ensure strict adherence to global equity compensation compliance and regulatory requirements, including Section 16, insider trading policies, and international tax reporting.
  • Manage and execute all aspects of tax withholding and reporting related to equity transactions (e.g., Form 3921, W-2 reporting, global tax requirements).
  • Lead the response to the Equity Administration email alias for complex and escalated inquiries.
  • Assist with month-end close process, focusing on equity accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting for stock-based compensation.
  • Help lead company-wide equity communications and training sessions, ensuring clear understanding of plan provisions, tax implications, and trading policies.
  • Maintain and update the equity wiki page, ensuring content is relevant, informative, and includes compliance and tax guidance.
  • Maintain and strengthen SOX compliance controls and assist with quarterly and annual testing/audits by internal and external teams, focusing on all aspects of equity transaction processing and tax withholding.
  • Manage documentation and record-keeping for all equity-related tax filings and compliance matters.
  • Ad Hoc duties and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of public company equity plan administration experience, including reporting, reconciliations and SOX compliance.
  • Experience managing a third-party outsourced stock administration system (Charles Schwab EquiView preferred).
  • Proficient in Excel including vlookups and Pivot tables.
  • Proficient with Google product suite.
  • Advanced analytical ability, attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of many different types of equity awards and public company equity programs, across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) or in the process of obtaining.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
